CATEGORIES OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY CREATORS & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OWNERS
OWNERS OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY are all creators and those who become owners of intellectual property in any way.
 
- CREATORS (e.g. composers, authors, writers, arrangers, translators).
Natural persons who create a musical composition are considered Composers.
Natural persons who create a text with metre, which has been included in a musical work or an artistic work of language which is suitable for setting to music, are considered Authors.
Natural persons who arrange of modify an original/pre-existing work in a way that their personal contribution is clear and in fact so clear as to create a new work which as such is subject to its own protection, are called Arrangers. 
Natural persons who translate a text into another language or dialect are called Translators.
 
- INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OWNERS (e.g. publishers, sub-publishers, heirs, rights owners)
Natural persons or corporate bodies who hold by contract the publishing rights of musical works and on the basis of these rights issues, circulate and promote in the form of print, in the form of sound or visual or sound and visual carriers, copies of the works or generally promote in any way and by any means the aforementioned works, as long as the contract between them is in effect, are considered Publishers.
